Historically accurate Disney Princesses are all the rage now. There are countless series on Deviantart dedicated to them – and I love this concept So I wanted to make some historical Disney Princesses of my own – in this case not in historically accurate Princess gear, but military attire (which is a little nod to and his Warrior Women)

My first victim is Snow White

When and Where?
In this video on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3Fr5w… Snow White is ascribed to the 16^th Century, and the fairytale is obviously of German origin. So I decided to depict her as a German Landsknecht.

Commentary
These were Mercenaries from 16^th century Holy Roman Empire. Valued for their extraordinary skill and discipline they were employed by many Rulers of the era, however if not paid properly they were known to lay waste to whole countryside’s.

I screwed up when it came to the weapon… The Landsknechte fought primarily with pikes and longswords, as well as Firearms. This here seems to be a misshaped Longsword.
